First responders from the Long Hill and Trumbull Center Fire Departments and Trumbull paramedics were dispatched to a stretch of Tashua Road near the intersection of Kent Lane at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, where there was a report of a motor vehicle crash requiring extrication.
According to fire officials at the scene, the first at the scene found the truck against the telephone pole, which snapped on impact. Crews from both fire departments were able to extricate the driver and paramedics treated him at the scene.
Fire crews remained at the scene until approximately 5 a.m. to provide lighting for Trumbull police as they investigated the crash. The condition of the driver was not disclosed late on Wednesday afternoon, June 5.
